hanoi, 10am

yesterday was a scream. no really lots of screaming went on. a tuk tuk bicycle driver tried to rip my friend and i off, changing the price on us as we arrived to our destination. and next thing we knew, there was

*an angry mob*

surrounding us on this local street, yelling at us with him. then he tries grabbing our bags, luckily he's a pip skweek and we can take him, but the mob is growing and we're getting anxious, so we hand over the extra money and get the f. outta renegade lane. it was a bad, bad scene. but funny soon after it happened.

we saw a pagoda, filled with garnishes, gold and finishings. multi-layered. different kinds of prayers spent here with wagging hands in front of the face, no bowing like in laos. there was a monk chanting behind a wall with a gong.

i bought 30 nutty hot cd's for..$33 fucking dollars! i love pyracy.

we went dancing last night. oh, the peruvian finally met up and he's infatuated with me. and now i'm reserved. unsure. wanting to find other conquests. he's a sweet guy tho. we'll see. were traveling south today, to the beaches.

the dancing last night was another strange scene from a b rate movie. a gay man's heaven. young, spruce gay asians doing their own immitation of seduction with jutting shoulders and sexy pouty lips that say 'i just couldn't be more borred' (that one's for you queerscribe). flowing american women doing what i call the grateful dead lesbian mud dance. my hair was shower power wet from the heat and wetter when we entered into the street monsoon.

the peruvian and i snuggled all night. today i have rancid breath, lingering, discombobulated desire for something grounding. a mtg. serenity. routine. yoga. meditation.

but we are on the move....oh shoot i forgot about the cheese i still have in the fridge. mmmmm. never travel with out a good block of gouda.
